SIOSE
In 2005, the Spanish Land Occupation Information System (SIOSE) was launched, integrating the information available from the Autonomous Communities (CCAA) and the General State Administration (AGE) and generating a land occupation database for the whole of Spain at a scale of 1:25,000 for the years 2005, 2009, 2011 and 2014.
Its main features include:
- Cooperative production scheme between the General State Administration and the Autonomous Communities.
- Object-oriented data model
- Scale 1:25.000
- Avoiding duplication and reducing costs in the generation of geographic information.
- Satisfying the requirements and needs of the European Union, the General State Administration and the Autonomous Communities in terms of land occupation.
- Integrate the information from the land occupation databases of the National Government and the Autonomous Communities.
Currently the SIOSE project at a scale of 1:25,000 is no longer in production.
